Hart Plain Church Preschool Ofsted Report

Our most recent inspection by Ofsted took place on 12th January 2024. This latest report shows how the team worked worked hard to achieve a standard of "GOOD - Outstanding in Personal Development of the Children". It's a wonderful achievement to have one of the highest recognitions given by Ofsted. Some key points are highlighted on this page below:

Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment is GOOD
  • Children confidently participate in activities;
  • Children demonstrate their increasing physical skills;
  • Staff skilfully ask questions that encourage children to think and enhance their growing vocabulary.
Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare is GOOD
  • Children manage risks in their play, with supervision;
  • Children clearly enjoy the many outdoor physical activities;
  • Children develop confident relationships with staff. They seek and receive cuddles, ask questions and demonstrate increasing independence.
Effectiveness of the Leadership and Management is GOOD
  • Safeguarding is effective. Improvements have been made to ensure the premises are secure and safe indoors and in the garden;
  • All areas are thoroughly risk assessed each day;
  • Children's progress is carefully monitored and any gaps in learning addressed..
