About Hart Plain Church Preschool

We provide a caring environment for your child.

Hart Plain Church Preschool offer a warm welcome for every individual child and family member. We provide a safe caring environment within which all children can learn and develop as they play. Open 5 days a week during term times, our first class childcare facilities offer a baby room, and then on-going preschool education before children then go on to attend infant schools.

Hart Plain Church Preschool is located in Cowplain, and we provide preschool learning for parents looking for a placement in the Cowplain, Lovedean and Waterlooville areas.

Parent Management Committee

We are a non-profit organisation and therefore not driven by making huge profits. Governed by a Parent Management Committee, we value the ethos of the local church, but operate as an independent preschool.

Our Manager is both experienced and professional and together with our staff team we have run a very successful child care setting for over 30 years.

Hart Plain Church Preschool in Burnham Hall Cowplain

Our location

Our preschool building is located on Hart Plain Avenue, in Cowplain. Burnham Hall (just behind the Hart Plain Church building) is our preschool setting.

The building is very secure, with ample car parking and a lovely outside play area where the children can learn, grow and develop their abilities whilst having fun!

Our Baby Room

We understand what it's like to have to leave your child to go back to work.

Our separate baby room provides a warm homely environment. This will give your baby a safe place to be cared for and give any parent leaving their child in our care, the reassurance their babies will be well looked after for the duration of their stay with us.

Parent & Toddlers Group

Every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12 midday we have a Parent & Toddler Group. Ages 0 to 3 years.

Crafts, cooking, story telling and other fun activities are included, and this gives parents the opportunity to meet with other Mums and Dads, and have a little get together. It's just £1.50 per session so well worth the money.

Hart Plain Church Preschool have a clearly defined set of aims and objectives when it comes to looking after your children in whilst in our care. Our promise to parents and/or carers is that every child will be well looked after and gain the best from their time with us at our preschool.

To provide a child friendly environment which is safe, caring and stimulating
To enhance the development and education of children through play and interaction with one another
To encourage children to develop self-confidence and self-esteem and to feel valued as an individual
To build on and promote children's social, intellectual and physical development through play and structured activities, thereby preparing them for a smooth transition from preschool to mainstream school

To regularly observe and plan for each child's progress
To honour parents trust that we will nurture their child and give them quality care
To work within the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage
To follow the guidelines and requirements of the registering bodies
To work as partners with parents and/or carers and offer flexibility that allows each childs individual needs to be met
To make parents and/or carers feel welcome, and provide an atmosphere where both children and adults feel happy and comfortable
To be approachable by children and parents alike, and to be caring, understanding and compassionate to each individuals circumstances
